Terms of Service

Last updated: July 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of SiteWatch (sitewatch.com). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

SiteWatch stores photos submitted from your cameras, organizes them into project timelines, and generates time-lapses, reports, and shareable portals. The service is currently in early access: it is offered free of charge for now, and we may introduce paid plans with at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies to you.

Your account

You're responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account, including safeguarding project ingest tokens and share links — anyone holding a share link can view that project's portal.

Your content

Acceptable use

Don't use SiteWatch for unlawful surveillance, to infringe others' rights, to probe or disrupt the service, or to submit content that is illegal to possess or distribute. We may suspend accounts that do.

Evidence features

We timestamp photos, compute cryptographic hashes at ingestion, and apply write-once storage locks — features designed to make your records tamper-evident. However, we make no guarantee that any record will be accepted by any particular lender, insurer, court, or authority. Evidentiary standards vary; consult your own advisors.

Availability and data

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without warranties. Maintain your own copies of photos that are critical to you. Camera-offline alerts and report emails are best-effort notifications, not a monitoring guarantee.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteWatch's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost documentation, or project disputes.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms. Storage locks on already-ingested photos survive termination for their lock period (see the Privacy Policy's retention section).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post changes here and email account holders about material ones. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
